X.Org Conference/Event Anti-Harassment Policy
Adopted 22nd August 2013 by the X.Org Board of Directors.
Updated on 21st August 2024 by the X.Org Board of Directors.
Policy
The X.Org Foundation is dedicated to providing a harassment-free conference experience for everyone. We do not tolerate harassment of conference participants in any form.
For consistent expectations in behavior the Freedesktop Code of Conduct also serves as the code of conduct for confereneces and events. The event organizers and their local code of conduct enforcement team serve the same role as maintainers do for hosted projects, with the Freedesktop Code of Conduct Committee providing oversight and guidance.
This policy applies to all events organized by the X.Org Foundation, or for which the X.Org Foundation is the primary sponsor. Events for which the X.Org Foundation is a co-sponsor must have a published harassment policy of their own.
Implementation details
Conference/event organizers should see anti-harassment policy details for suggested guides on how to handle any incidents that may occur. Any questions or issues that cannot be resolved by the conference organizers should be brought to any Freedesktop Code of Conduct Committee in attendance or sent to conduct@lists.freedesktop.org as soon as practical. Any incident that results in expulsion of an attendee from the conference must be reported to both the fd.o Code of Conduct Committee and the X.Org Board.
